Wow, it's been a year already. The another hot day in the jungle is taking on a new identity- it is the offcial blog of the Madison Garden Club. Since the club is pretty small right now (just me and my plants), the blog will be pretty simple, just a run down of what's going on in my yard, what's not going on in my yard, and this-must-stop-going-on in my yard?" Hopefully, my insights will prompt others to post responses, mainly in reply to Q. #3 above. In the future the site and blog will grow to such proportions that our sponsors will provide us with so many freebies the entire neighborhod will be up to their ears in mushroom compost.
Update: All of the Hardy hibiscuses are full of flower buds, so far no drought related damage. I haven't been watering much.
My banana trees are now serving as the local storm forcaster. When they start to look nice with their big banana tree leafs, look out: a storm is coming to make them look like hula skirts again. Honestly, if I could afford it I'd replace them with comparably sized palms. Cha-Ching$$$.
