I guess I have been as busy with this site as nobody else has been.  Pictures will arrive soon of yard improvements.  My wife has turned our back yard into wildflower heaven, while I have managed to produce an ever more resolute crop of crabgrass and bahia.
I tried an experiment last fall of leaving the pepper garden until spring to clean up.  The net result is tobasco pepper plants ruling supreme and drowning out most of the others.  Also, cross polination took place and I have no idea what variety pf pepper I am pulling from the plant.  Heat varies wildly from plant to plant, even sometimes peppers on the same plant.  Long story short, I will clean up the pepper garden this fall, so I know what I am eating next August.
On another note, the Pink Lady banana tree finally put out yellow bananas before a frost.  They are awesome.  Flavor is fruity and texture is, well, great but unexpected.  Goes to show you just never know.
